This article describes all the printing to be done in order to build your own Lumos Light Bowl.

Models

All models to be printed can bou found on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:942726

There are two versions available.
First a round (smaller) version; secondly a higher version.

  • print the lumos-r2-base.stl which is the base that keeps the electronics
  • print one of the lumos-r2-light*.stl – (lumos-r2-light_small.stl is shown in the pictures)
  • optional: print the lumos-r2-shild.stl (pictures above are without). The shield can be glued to the top of the bowl to limit the light illuminating the ceiling.

Print Settings

For printing I used the following settings. Maybe you will need to adjust them to your own printer.

  • 0.2 mm layers
  • 50 mm/sec speed
  • white 1.75mm PLA
  • 25% infill
  • support needed
